Misc Spring Pics

I couldn't resist posting these random photos I found on my phone while trying to get caught up for our 2017 blog updates.

Kaitlynn wrote a story at school (back in the spring of 2nd grade) about her friendship with Anais, her longest and best friend. It made me smile and maybe even shed a tear. So precious, those two friends!

And speaking of long-time friends, one of Connor's very first friends in Katy was Jayden. They were in the same classes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, and they have been the best of friends over the years. We never missed an opportunity to get those boys together.

More pics with friends...Kaitlynn and Lily are always ALL smiles and laughs when they're together. They had a spring sleepover and loved every moment!

Speaking of friends, I never miss an opportunity for a girls weekend! In February, I joined Julie and Michelle for another super fun weekend of shopping, food, and girl time in San Antonio. We never seem to have enough time to hit all the stores and catch up on all the things!

And here are some cute photos from home. I never miss a chance to snap my cuties in their element.

Speaking of home, we always enjoy having Kevin home with us for a visit. Even though he only lives across the city, he keeps a busy schedule of school and work. We make sure to save our special celebrations for when he can attend. In the spring, he joined us for a birthday celebration with Dear Ole' Dad!

Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't include the following photo of Kaitlynn. One of her New Years resolutions was to move up another level in tumbling. She had a considerable setback when she hit what they call a "mental block" while working towards her roundoff-back hand spring-back tuck. During the mental block, she struggled immensely with skills she had already mastered for months. Slowly but surely, she stuck with it and worked so hard week after week. Until the memorable day in early April when Coach Damon said, "You're ready to move up! Level 4!!" Woohoo!!
