Polar Express at the Library

We are staying so busy with Christmas activities that I can barely keep up! This week the kids and I joined our Moms group and visited the library. All the kids got to wear their pajamas and hear a reading of The Polar Express. Then they decorated cookies and made a Christmas craft. It was a fun outing for us, especially since we rarely visit the library these days.

I think the kids' favorite part of the morning was wearing their pajamas for the entire day. Kaitlynn was able to wear some special Christmas pajamas with a red tutu, and of course she had to pose for a picture after putting them on.

On the way into the library... Connor and Kaitlynn still love to hold hands everywhere they go. I can't resist snapping their picture.

Here are the kids listening to The Polar Express. What a fun Christmas story!

Connor decorated a cookie while Kaitlynn enjoyed her own cookie snack from home.

Kaitlynn enjoyed playing with Connor's Christmas craft (a sleigh ornament).

After storytime, we went into the main children's section of the library and played for a bit. Here they are enjoying the puzzles.

Thank goodness for fun Christmas activities to keep the kids occupied during their school holiday!

  1. Looks like lots of fun was had by all. And oh my gosh, I love Kaitlynn's PJ's with her tutu. SO cute. I am still amazed at how sweet they are to each other. Keep taking those pictures so that you can show it to them later when they are fighting all the time. :-) Glad you guys have found lots of fun things to do to stay busy and sane. :-)

  3. What a great holiday activity! Both of the kiddos look like they were soaking up every single minute of fun.

I'm glad that Connor got to have some special time with Benjamin, too. I think it's so important to foster friendships. They are, after all, our "chosen family."

And, of course, Daddy's night out. I have to give Jeff some major props. His love for his kids is evident in his enthusiasm for spending time with them. Lots of men in this world could take tips from him about how to make your children feel special.

Before I sign off, please tell Kaitlynn that I'd like to borrow a couple of her Christmas ensembles. Particularly the dress she wore to Benjamin's house and the tutu. Those were sooooooooo cute!!

Hugs and Merry Christmas loves to all.
