First Cereal

In an attempt to help Kaitlynn sleep a little better at night, we started feeding her some rice cereal before her bath. Unfortunately her sleep habits haven't improved, but at least she is learning to eat from a spoon and (sometimes) seems to enjoy it. Take a look.

Mommy says, "Are you ready Kaitlynn?"

Here goes nothing.

Hmmm, not so sure about this...

Did any cereal actually make it in her mouth?

I think she enjoys her fingers more than the food.

Yep, she is definitely done.

Anyone interested in seeing pics from Connor's first cereal? Here you go...

  1. LOVE the comparison pics. So cute. She looks happier than Jackson did when he first tried it. He cried the entire time. I bet she'll have the hang of it in no time!!!

  2. What a fun milestone! Looks like she did pretty good for her first time! Love the comparison pictures! Still so fun to see how much they look alike! I hope she starts sleeping better for you!

  3. I dread the messes that come with food. Oh wait. Is it actually that much worse than spit-up getting everywhere? And surely it smells better, right?

I hope that her rice cereal starts to kick in so that she'll sleep better for you. Alex has had a little regression the last two nights. I basically try to rationalize with him at bedtime every night, "Can you sleep all night for mommy? Mommy really needs her sleep tonight. Please?" His response? "It's all about me Mommy. Me." =)

  5. So cute and precious! I bet she will be eating like a pig in no time! I felt like Timothy needed a little help sleeping through the night when he was a few months old...so I put rice cereal in his bottle and bought the bigger nipples. I swear it worked wonders! Julie
