Toro's Kids Club

It's that time of year again -- football time!! The Houston Texans are back in training camp and Connor was thrilled to be a part of it last week. He's in the Toro's Kids Club which is the fan club for kids, and they were invited to watch the Texans practice outdoors. Connor was so excited to wear his Texans uniform and attend the practice. Neither of us was counting on the unbearable heat, though. I could've wrung out the sweat in my shirt, and we were only there from 8:30 until 10 a.m. I have no idea how the players practice in that heat and humidity. Here are a few pictures from our morning.

We saw the team's owner, Bob McNair, up close and personal. He was signing autographs for the kids but Connor was acting too shy to go up to him.



There were all sorts of inflatables set up for the kids to do some practice drills.

A couple days later, Jeff's friend Pat invited him to another day of practice along with Connor and Kevin. Connor enjoyed more of the inflatables...



While Kevin enjoyed the cheerleaders. You can bet this next picture has been forwarded to pretty much everyone on Kevin's contact list, ha ha!



One final photo: It's a shot of Connor intently watching the football players practice with the Texans quarterback Matt Schaub (#8) off in the background. Jeff is certain there is some photographic genius behind this picture since he took it -- as in how it foreshadows that Connor will be quarterback one day. :-)
