Rodeo Fun

As promised, here's a recap from our Rodeo visit yesterday. We were blessed with gorgeous weather, but the downside was that everyone in Houston seemed to have the same idea about getting outside and enjoying the festivities. It was so crowded! I think we spent longer in the car on the drive to/from the Rodeo than we did at the events. And we ended up missing the actual "Rodeo show" (as Connor calls it) but we still had a great time hanging with Connor's buddies Benjamin and Timothy and their parents.

Here's Timothy, Connor, and Benjamin dressed up in their cowboy gear.

Kaitlynn and Timothy flirting (as usual)!

The highlight of the evening - riding the ponies.

Connor was so much braver this year.

Our favorite thing about the Rodeo - the food! Connor had chicken strips on a stick.

The boys also enjoyed the indoor petting zoo. Some of the animals were a little aggressive but all 3 boys did great.

Just for fun, here's a photo of Connor on the pony this year...

And here's one from last year. He wasn't so sure then!

  1. Jerry always says, "if you look good, you play good." I think the authentic cowboy outfit made Connor more confident for the pony ride and petting zoo.

Those chicken strips on a stick are ginormous! Did he really eat the whole thing?

  2. What fun! We went to the Rodeo last year and it is so fun! I remember Jacob had a great time. So glad Connor enjoyed himself this year and was able to enjoy the pony ride a little more! And you can't go to the Rodeo without enjoying all that yummy food! It's the best. Glad to see Connor enjoyed that as well! haha

  3. I agree with Amanda - I think the outfit helped Connor play the "cowboy" part very well! He looked adorable! The ponies were truly the biggest hit of the entire show! We had such a fun time with you guys! Even though hard work, we helped make memories of our lifetime for our little ones! You can't beat that!

  4. Connor looked precious and he was so brave up on that pony! What fun memories he is going to have of going to the rodeo. I miss getting to go. Nothing compares to the Houston Rodeo.
