KYF Junior Varsity Texans - Our Favorite Lineman

At the beginning of the new season for the KYF Texans, Connor rejoined his teammates for the summer practices. Shortly after practices began, Connor commented to me that he wanted to get more play time this year and was going to try really hard to improve. His hard work seemed to pay off, because he was named a starting offensive lineman and was getting tons of play time compared to last season.

A few months into the season, one of the coaches was telling us that he thought Connor was the most improved player from last year. What a compliment, and what a testament to Connor's hard work! I was SO proud of his efforts.

Connor looking fierce on the sideline.

During the season, I tried to take pictures of Connor in action. Below are some of my favorites.

Connor performing the "pancake" with another fellow lineman.

Connor knocking out one of the Lions.

A classic block by Connor, right in the middle.

#90 gets another block.

Taking on one of the big, bad Broncos.

That Bronco has an unfair size advantage! ;-)

Another good block, Con-man!

Connor tries to stand his ground against that Packer.

Blocking battle.

Daring that Packer to come at 'em!

It make me feel emotional to realize that Connor may never wear that Texans uniform again. It's been a heck of a ride with our Texans team!
