Girl Time

While Connor was away on his Week Without Walls trip, Kaitlynn and I made sure to soak in some girl time. What better way to spend quality time than lunch and shopping at the Dubai Mall! Usually it's Connor who requests Texas Roadhouse, but Kaitlynn seems to have developed the addiction as well. And in case you're wondering, the wait staff at Texas Roadhouse does the line dancing here in Dubai as well as Texas, ha!

After our yummy Texas lunch, we did a little shopping. She always has the biggest smiles when she gets to make purchases for herself. We made a quick stop at Justice followed by a search for rubber bands. She was on a rubber band ball kick at the time. Ha!

I began letting the kids stay late at school in order to attend their activities and beat the traffic at the normal school pickup time. Kaitlynn usually manages to find a friend to hang out with on the playground or in the library. She has become sweet friends with Emily from Michigan. Love those two together!

It wouldn't be girl time without a trip to Starbucks before school. I've become quite addicted to their hot chocolate while Kaitlynn indulges in the square-shaped chocolate donut. Yummy!

All that quality time, eating, and shopping really wears a girl out!
