To conclude the tournament, the participants and spouses were invited to a gala with drinks, dinner, awards ceremony, live entertainment, and fireworks finale. Our friends were gracious enough to let our kids stay with theirs, the oldest of which could oversee the group. It was an opportunity for a fun date night and I luckily found something suitable to wear hanging in my closet. It was also the first time I fixed my hair in months, ha! We felt so blessed by our friends to enjoy a night together in great company with the spectacular Dubai skyline in the distance.

On another note.....the gentleman that bought your house rang our doorbell one day this past week and needed to talk to Jerry. He wanted to know what to do because he had found a couple of big snakes in his back yard under a tarp. Jerry went over there and he said they were the biggest rat snakes he had ever seen...probably over 5 feet. Jerry killed them for him and threw them over the fence. The gentleman (still can't say his name) said he was going to go throw them closer to the lake because if his wife saw them she would want to move. Funny! He said he finally told her. Great family!
