Grandparents Visit #2

Next up on the grandparents visitation list (haha) was Jeff's mom Judy and stepdad Dave. They joined us during another busy fall weekend in order to take in some football and tumbling, and the kids loved sharing a weekend in their lives with Nana and Grandpa!

Kaitlynn's favorite activity with Nana is playing dolls!

She just loved showing and telling Nana all about her dolls and their accessories.

Even Connor had to get in on the action.

It was a beautiful October weekend when Nana and Grandpa visited, and Grandpa Dave took the opportunity to teach the kids how to carve pumpkins for the very first time. It's true that grandparents are WAY more fun than parents, ha!

All smiles for carving pumpkins.

Scooping out the seeds.

They were a little unsure of the mess.

The final products -- perfectly spooky pumpkins!

The final touch was the candles on the inside. Loved our carved pumpkins for Halloween!

No fall weekend would be complete without a visit to the little league football fields to watch Connor and his Falcons team play. Nana and Grandpa enjoyed seeing their favorite little Falcon on what turned out to be a gorgeous day for football.

We all couldn't believe how tall Kevin looked in these photos, ha!

Jeff with his Mom, so sweet.

The rest of the weekend was just as fun. We went to a lovely church service, followed by a wonderful "girls day" of shopping and lunch. Kaitlynn couldn't wait to introduce Nana to the joys of the American Girl store, ha! Jeff and Dave packed in more fun with a sunset canoe ride around the lake, and we concluded our weekend with the BEST beef fajitas in town (Lupe Tortilla, in case you were wondering)! We felt so lucky to have Nana and Grandpa for a visit and enjoyed the entire time so much!

Nana spoiled Kaitlynn with an extra gift from her favorite store.

Jeff and Dave took a sunset canoe ride in the lake behind our house. We were impressed that they didn't fall in!!
