National Charity League, Azalea Chapter

Earlier in the spring, Kaitlynn and I began a new adventure together. We joined the local Katy Azalea Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL), a national non-profit organization designed to encourage community service and volunteering opportunities for mothers and their daughters in grades 7-12. Several of our local friends have been a part of NCL, and we were excited to learn more about the opportunity to grow closer to each other and sweet friends while serving our community together. Our first activity for NCL was to snap some mother-daughter photos to introduce ourselves to our fellow chapter members. Of course, these photos never come without several outtakes, ha!

In early April, Kaitlynn and I attended our very first NCL activity with our local chapter. It was an introductory Mother Daughter Tea, where we were able to visit with our fellow chapter members, learn about upcoming opportunities, and take a lot more photos together. The theme of the Tea was "Mamma Mia" and it was held outdoors at a local elementary school. The event was beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed meeting so many new ladies and picking up our tasty lunch to go.

During the Tea, we enjoyed the beautiful spring weather and met up with several of our friends who were also joining the chapter. Kaitlynn and I still had a lot to learn about what it would mean to be a part of NCL, but we were excited at the opportunity to have more time together and enjoy the NCL experience with new and old friends alike. It was a great start to our 6-year NCL journey ahead!
