Fun in Wimberley

Our Wimberley vacation home was the most gorgeous piece of property in the Texas Hill Country with a lot to explore. Jeff and I joined MeMe and Grandaddy for a morning hike around the property, and Grandaddy made sure we were prepared with walking sticks for whatever adventure we might encounter. It was a fun hike with gorgeous views and maybe a couple of falls, ha!

As much fun as our family had at our vacation home, we managed to venture out into the town of Wimberley for some offsite activities, too. On one morning, the girls enjoyed a day of shopping while the guys went out to golf. Later that day, the guys played a game of frisbee golf on site, and it was quite entertaining to watch as the sun was setting. Beautiful!

On another day, most of our group ventured into New Braunfels for some tubing on the Comal River. It was a first time for many of us, and we didn't know what to expect. The weather was cooler than expected because the sun was mostly behind the clouds, but it was great fun.

After tubing, our entire group met MeMe and Grandaddy in Gruene at the famous Gristmill restaurant for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals but ended up with TONS of leftovers to take back home.

On another day, we all ventured out to the Blue Hole Regional Park, which is a local park with a forested natural swimming area. There are rope swings, a huge lawn for lounging, walking trails, and picnic tables. The water was far too cold for me, but the kids really enjoyed the swings and swimming during our visit. It was such a fun and beautiful setting.

We were never short on fun things to do while in the Wimberley area, and the summer vacation was a complete success for the entire group!
