BIG Belly Button

From very early on, we could tell that you would have an umbilical hernia -- the condition where the belly button poofs out in some newborns. We noticed your belly button sticking out at around 6 weeks and it just kept getting bigger and bigger. By the time you were 2 months old, your belly button looked VERY strange and we got lots of looks and comments when you were out and about and it happened to peek through your clothes. At one point, your Dad and I noticed that it actually made a little squeaky noise, too. I asked the doctor about it at your 2 month well visit, and he assured me that it would eventually go away. It finally went away around 2.5 months or so, but it had gotten so big that it left you with a wrinkled button that you have to this day!
