Our annual summer vacation wouldn't be complete without our family beach photos. This year, my favorite pic was a staged but somewhat candid photo of the cousins. I love how their personalities come out every time!
We always take the group photos at night before sunset. The beach is so beautiful and I never get tired of the breeze and view.

Morgan Family Vacation in Gulf Shores
It wasn't long before our favorite summer family tradition was back underway...our Morgan Family Vacation in Gulf Shores! The Morgan cousins couldn't wait to be reunited. It was a long awaited reunion and so worth the long drive!
For our vacation this year, we returned to our favorite spot -- Caribe in Orange Beach. For our big crew, you just can't beat the accommodations and activities. We were all so happy to be back.
"Best Cousins" Marissa and Kaitlynn wasted no time resuming their fun together. Those two have been inseparable since such a young age. Precious to watch!
This year one of our condos was the Penthouse suite. It was amazing to be on the top floor and enjoy the incredible bay and gulf views. Never gets old!
We always end up staying in two separate condos, and over the years they have become the "early bird" condo for MeMe, Grandaddy, and our family, and the "night owl" condo for everyone else. Something new this year for Connor and Kaitlynn was that they began sleeping in the "night owl" condo with all of their cousins. Some stayed in the bunk room, some in their own bedroom, and Marissa and Kaitlynn were all over the place sleeping on couches or in closets, ha! They LOVED being with the night owls and staying up so late!
The cousins loved the late evening trips to the beach, but I was content to enjoy the sunset from our balcony.
Playing games with Grandaddy is one of the most popular activities with our group. And another summer tradition has become the "Morgan Freeman Talent Show" with all types of creativity and variety from our talented group of Morgan cousins. There is a lot of laughter, and quite a bit of eye-rolling, too!
A game of hide and seek brought out the creativity in everyone this year. I didn't manage a photo of Kaitlynn's winning hiding spot in a suitcase, but she would STILL be there hiding if we hadn't given her away. Ha!
This year, we noticed that the kids wanted to hang out indoors a lot more than usual. No doubt they were stuck on their phones and devices too much! But when they finally managed to make it outside, there is never a shortage of fun activities. The onsite putting green and multiple swimming pools are always so much fun for the group.
A funny story from our trip this summer is that we planned to visit a new place in Gulf Shores that specializes in handmade, customized milkshakes. The whole gang was excited to try it out until we drove up and saw the long line...wrapped around the inside and all the way out into the parking lot! NO, thank you! Thanks goodness for the Dairy Queen across the shopping center!
As always, we were sad to see our amazing summer vacation with family come to an end. But we closed it out in our favorite way - having lunch together with "throwed rolls" from our favorite stop, Lambert's. Until next time!
