In the spring, Connor started his very first season playing select baseball. We joined a team with fellow parents and friends from the football team, and Jeff was one of the assistant coaches. It was a brand new team and we had a lot of kinks to work out, but overall it was a great season for Connor and we had nothing but fun!
Connor's primary position on the team was catcher. For the weekends with 2, 3, 4 or more games, he would be WORN OUT from playing catcher wearing all that gear in the summer sun. He also had some innings playing outfield where he did well, but catcher was his favorite position and he made tremendous progress this season. He also excelled at hitting the ball, and had the 2nd highest batting average on his team. Of course, his stats would've been way better if he could just figure out how to RUN. It was a team joke that Connor was like a "baby giraffe" trying to run the bases. Poor guy always got great hits and RBIs but could rarely steal a base or make it home! LOL!
Below are some of my photos from the season. Our family has nothing but fond memories of playing for the Katy Falcons under Coach Sean!
