June 14 is also Flag Day. Who knew?! Happy Birthday, Kaitlynn! She was so happy to turn 8.
To celebrate Kaitlynn on her birthday, I took her for a manicure and pedicure. We love having our girl time together and feeling pampered.
Her birthday was on a week day while Jeff was working at a contract position downtown. We gave Kaitlynn the option of choosing a restaurant or allowing us to choose one for her. She let us pick, so we picked up Jeff from work and went to the neat downtown Aquarium restaurant. It has floor to ceiling aquariums with all sorts of cool sea life; a unique dining experience for our birthday girl. She opened gifts while at lunch together and then continued the presents back at home in the afternoon.
Of course, Kaitlynn's biggest and best gift of all was a promised day/night of fun with her long-time bestie, Anais. No birthday for these two is ever complete without a sleepover and lots of quality time together.
As part of their sleepover, Jeff took the girls and Connor to our local Katy waterpark, Typhoon Texas. They had so much fun and even ran into some friends.
Back home, it was time for more swimming and endless fun. There is never a dull moment with these two, although by the end of their time together, they are pooped!
Look at those tired eyes! Kaitlynn had the best time celebrating her 8th birthday.
