As the spring semester rolled on, I realized that we hadn't visited Connor at college since earlier in the fall semester. I was anxious to spend some quality time with him, so I decided to schedule a quick weekend trip to visit him in Alabama in mid-April. One of the top agenda items for my visit was to tour the apartment complex where he planned to live the following school year. We were able to get a tour of the apartment alongside his future roommate, Austin.
We ran some errands together and made sure to enjoy some local treats along the way. Connor invited his future roommates to dinner with us at Texas Roadhouse, and I really enjoyed meeting them and putting the faces to their names I had been hearing all year.
When we stopped at Connor's dorm, I was impressed by his regular use of his dorm room whiteboard that we had set up for him back before school started. This kid was becoming quite the planning and scheduler to keep himself organized for school and work. Impressed!
Not to be left out, Jeff and Kaitlynn made sure to enjoy their time together while I was away.
It was such a pleasure being able to visit my boy away at school and see how he was thriving in his new life at University of Alabama. So thankful and blessed!
