Kaitlynn's fall was getting busier by the day. Not only was she in the full swing of volleyball season, but she was also kicking off her fall season with school cheer for 8th grade football. I managed to miss her first couple of games due to various conflicts, but I was so excited when I finally got to capture some photos of our favorite cheerleader.
Kaitlynn was so excited to start the new season of cheer with some of her besties. She was optimistic that she would enjoy her 8th grade year more than her 7th grade year. She always looked the part and she truly enjoyed getting closer to some of her favorite gals, but sideline cheer just didn't seem to be her thing. There were various aspects of school cheer, like wearing her uniform to school and cheering at pep rallies in front of her peers, that just really didn't interest Kaitlynn and made her feel less excited about her role as a school cheerleader. And like anything else with middle school girls, the "drama" always bothers her and pushes her away. We encouraged her to push through the hard days and try to enjoy the fun aspects of cheer in her final season on the sidelines. She did a great job cheering on her peers and we always loved watching her perform, regardless of how she may have felt on the inside, ha!
