Daddy Daughter Date

One of the things that Jeff was hoping to accomplish during his visit home was to attend Kaitlynn's all-time favorite event, the Daddy Daughter Dance at our elementary school. Unfortunately we just couldn't make the timing work this year. Instead, Jeff promised that he would take Kaitlynn on a very special Daddy Daughter date night. She could pick the details of the date - what to wear, where to go, and what to do. She couldn't wait to plan their special night.

First up - the choice of outfits. It's no secret that Jeff's favorite color is purple, so Kaitlynn declared that they must both wear purple. She had the perfect dress picked out from her closet, and we made sure to fix her hair and I even let her wear some light makeup. She was SO excited and ready for her date night.

After Kaitlynn anxiously awaited his arrival, Jeff showed up to pick up his date wearing the appropriate attire, and he even made sure to sprinkle some purple into the bouquet of flowers he brought for her. Oh my, these two were so precious!

For their date, Kaitlynn requested Mexican food for dinner followed by a fun night of roller skating together. She couldn't wait! I requested some photos of their special evening and they sent me these along with another video of their roller skating adventure. They were nonstop smiles and fun the entire night. Their incredibly close relationship is such a blessing!
