Connor's Last "You Win!"

With the end of the school year - and Connor's senior year - rapidly coming to an end, we had one important family night to squeeze into our busy calendars. At long last, it was time for another game of "You Win" and this one would be the very last for Connor. We had a tough time finding a free night in Connor's busy month of "lasts" but we were excited for the choices ahead. First up, the kids were offered the choice between Popstroke and Top Golf. They chose Popstroke and we were excited to be the only family at the venue. It was a surprisingly cool afternoon (for a little while) and we enjoyed a game of mini golf, with some exciting holes in one by Connor and yours truly!

Next up was a dinner choice and both places involved pizza. This is not usually a spot that Mom or Dad would endorse, but since the name of the game is "You Win," the kids won by choosing dinner at CiCi's Pizza. Connor still loves their alfredo pizza and cinnamon rolls!

After pizza, our next round of "You Win" is usually some type of treat, and this time the kids chose Freddy's custard (a favorite for all of us!) as their next stop. We enjoyed our desserts but somehow I didn't manage to take anymore photos of the special night.

The last and final round of our annual game is always the kids' favorite, where they typically pick from 2 different "prizes" as a reward for their outstanding achievements from the school year. Kaitlynn picked cash for her reward, but Connor had a completely different reward waiting for him. As it was his very last game of "You Win," we concluded his high school chapter and final game of "You Win" by simply stating... "You won!" As in, he won the game of high school and completely conquered his goals! For the first time out of Jeff's standing offer to all his kiddos, Connor had successfully completed high school with all A's and earned that "carrot" that had been dangled in front of him for all these years: a brand new car! Of course, Connor being quite reasonable and level-headed, he decided that he didn't need a new car right away and instead opted to bank the money for a time in the future when it made more sense. Likely it was an anticlimactic end to the game, but we couldn't have been prouder of his success in high school. He definitely WON and we were so happy to celebrate with him in the exciting days to come!
