More Family Time in Murphy and White Oak

After our quick stop in Katy to pick up Connor and enjoy lunch with Collin and Kevin, we hit the road and headed north again for another visit with family, this time with my sister Michelle and her crew. They live in the Murphy area outside of Dallas. The cousins were so happy to be reunited and enjoyed lots of messy fun including a baking competition and even an original cousin iMovie. I have yet to see the end result of that project! It was still hot hot hot in Texas so we made sure to cool off with some perfect summer activities like swimming and frozen custard.

After our quick visit in Murphy, we loaded up again and drove back to White Oak for some quality time with MeMe and Grandaddy. We were also able to spend more time with Robin and Paul, Preslee and Karlie, and Aunt Dorsha. It always does our heart good to soak in all the family time with lots of games, yummy food, and golf for the boys.

 

We wrapped up all of our many errands for the week like shopping for shoes and clothes and various things that we wanted to stock up on that weren't available in Dubai. Our suitcases were going to be fully loaded!

Before we knew it, our time in White Oak had ended and we were on our way back to Katy for our final weekend in Texas. It seemed surreal that we had made it to the end of our visit. It was tough to leave our family but we were all ready to reunite with Jeff and get back into some sort of routine in Dubai.
