Swimming with Ms. Glendy

Summer is in full swing down here in Katy, and that can only mean 1 things: TONS of swimming! We started our summer of in the usual way by having Kaitlynn take survival swim lessons from Ms. Glendy of Glendy's WaterBabies. By the time our lessons started, Kaitlynn had already been swimming quite a bit and was doing great on her own. But Ms. Glendy made Kaitlynn work hard, teaching her the breaststroke ("big arms") and even how to dive. Kaitlynn did great! She is completely independent in the water and just LOVES to swim.

I have a feeling that this summer might be our last summer of lessons with Ms. Glendy. Kaitlynn has been such a water baby from the time she was only 1, and Ms. Glendy played a huge part in Kaitlynn's knowledge of swimming and comfort in the water. I'll never forget when Kaitlynn's skills were put to the test last summer in the Torrent River at Schlitterbahn. We are so thankful that both our kids are safe and independent swimmers!
