This was our first full week since our summer began and, boy, have we kicked it off in a big way! It's going to take me a while to post about all our fun this week, but in the meantime here are some pictures from the start of our summer fun.
We visited the beach in Galveston last week when Jeff's friend, Bob, and Bob's wife, Denise, were in town. It was the perfect way to kick off the summer!

We have been swimming in our pool nonstop, sometimes by ourselves and often with friends and neighbors. The kids are already rocking their summertime tans, ha!

Our favorite summertime activity. |

Now this is what I call "jumping for joy!" She is holding her favorite mermaid swim toy. |

We were lucky enough to be invited to Kaitlynn's best friend's house recently for an afternoon swim and play date. Anais and her younger sister Amelia were such fun playmates, and even Connor had a blast playing with all the girls. The kids swam, jumped on the trampoline, played in the yard and with Mack the dog, and even enjoyed ice cream treats. Kaitlynn and Anais just couldn't be any cuter together!

I have never seen Kaitlynn smile so big than with she's with Anais. |
|
Both girls are awesome swimmers and love jumping in the deep end. |
|
Anais's mom used their super cool waterproof camera to take some pics of the kids under water. |

I just love how the girls are swimming with smiles. |
|
We had dragon wars in the pool, girls versus guy, ha! |

Taking a break to swing. Seriously, look at those faces! |
Our summer is off to a GREAT start! Next up: our 3-day WAC-ky adventure in Galveston (explanation to come, haha).
That "jumping for JOY" picture says it all! Looks like both kiddos - and especially Kaitlynn - are going to enjoy their summer with all the time they'll be spending with friends. It is so sweet to see Kaitlynn developing her own friendships that she cherishes. She and little Anais look like two peas in a pod.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you started your summer planning in February. Well, actually, I can - you are an excellent planner! I am a tad bit envious of your organization and getting on top of it all. Wish I could say that I was that prepared over here! LOL!
I am counting down the days until we see you. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!! Love and miss you!
